Environmental Psychologist, Ph.D. in Perception and Psychophysics.
I conduct my research at the Laboratory of Affective Ecology (Green Leaf) at the University of Valle d’Aosta. I have been a Visiting Research Associate in Psychology (Honorary) at Washington University in St. Louis (MO, USA).
I have taught Environmental and Cognitive Psychology at the University of Padova, where I currently hold teaching assignments. For over twenty years, I have focused on environmental preference, environmental stress, restorative environments, therapeutic gardens, and more recently, biophilic design.
My research and seminar activities focus on various topics in environmental psychology, in which I have produced numerous high-impact scientific articles that place me at the forefront internationally. My biography was included in Who’s Who in the World 2007.
I am the author of Environmental Stress: Causes and Intervention Strategies (with M.R. Baroni, Carocci, 2013) and Introduction to Biophilia: The Relationship with Nature Between Genetics and Psychology (with G. Barbiero, Carocci, 2016).
