Massimo Caiazzo
Expert in Color Design, President of IACC Italy (International Association of Colour Consultants)
President of IACC Italy, founded in 1957 in Hilversum and cited by the Munsell Foundation as one of the four best color schools in the world.
I have been a tenured professor of Chromatology at the Academy of Verona from 2003 to 2015 and have taught courses on color in design at SPD (Scuola Politecnica di Design Milan), NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti), and Domus Academy in Milan.
My color training began at the Atelier Mendini in Milan (1990-2006), where I was part of the team led by designer and artist Alessandro Mendini, a master of polychromy.
A student of Frank Mahnke and Narciso Silvestrini, I followed their teachings on the interdisciplinary nature of color and the importance of sharing its culture to make it a resource for the rehabilitation of our built environment.
In 2021, I was named a testimonial of Italian Design worldwide and chosen as the keynote speaker at Color Impact at Yale University, the most important international conference on color dedicated to the built environment. I co-authored the best-seller “Abitare i colori” with Silvia Botti, published by Vallardi Editore.
